Spreadsheet validation

Greetings -
I am working with a spreadsheet and need to validate if that a values entered is not greater than the value in another cell (same row). is there a simple way? the grid validation doesnt seem to have such functionality.
do I have to use the bean shell multirow validator? any samples?
