creating group of items

Hi all,

In my application, I have a data list named items. It had multiple items like Fans,Bulbs,panels,refrigerator and air conditioners. I want to create a group based on those items like fan,bulb as a "Power Based" and refrigerator, air conditioner as a "Motor Based". And this groups can be create and manage like datalist. Can you suggest how can i do this ?
