reminder before the due date

hi i am currently working on an app that basically will have a date of submission
now i want to notify the user when the date of submission is getting closed
maybe just by sending him push notification no need for email.
i have no idea how to do that
the date of submission can also be different based on each task
is it possible to that do in joget ?
