Select a template (form) and store it after editing in other Form Table

Hi,

I need your kind support!

Actually I have a Form to build Text based Templates and a parent form to call one of the Template using a select box (popup). The Template appear in an Ajax Subform as expected and ready to modify the Rich Text Field finally save it as the final Report ( Like 'Save as'). To make it happen I used a select box(pop-up), a Ajax Subform together with the Parent Form Binder. But after saving the form ( in parent Form table) I can't see the final Report, I only get the original Template Text as previous selected.

Probably I need a Bean shell or Java script? but I have no experience writing scripts. So I'm looking for a solution and need your kind help for my use case. Thank you...

Hi Andew,

thank you for the good example and advise!

I've implemented the script as you have described. The only issue is that the script doesn't work with Rich Text Editor, only works with hidden Field, Text Field or Text Area.

Second point was that you can view the final and modified description in the Data List as you been saved, but when you going to edit it, you got back the original Description from the selected Template instead of the final version.

Let me know if you can suggest a workaround to accomplish my problem.
