I have a free account with 3 users allowed but can't login, why?

Confluence User - 29 Mar, 2020

I had a DX 7 Cloud free trial account that expired after 14 days.

Now, when I login as Admin, I get the following message:

"Login restricted, license expired on 21-03-2020 11:59PM.  Only 3 users allowed"

I still should be able to login as Admin and 2 other users.

Why can't I login?

Hi, as in Login restricted message for some users, not others?, only the first 3 user names ordered alphabetically are allowed to login.

Hi Anders,

Thanks for the reply.   This logic you described isn't correct.   Here are the requirements.

Admin is a special account that is setup for the account owner.

When a person gets a free 14 day free Cloud Trial, they ONLY are given access to their Admin account.

When the 14 day trial runs out the person must have access to the Admin account in order to manually remove the other users.

When a Free Trial account holder adds different apps, the apps may bring along several users.  If they happen to have added in other apps with additional users that are alphabetically before Admin, they are locked out.  They loose everything that they worked on in the initial 14 days.

This is not a correct design.

Keep in mind that Joget told account holders that the would have a free account forever with ONLY three users.

How do I access my free 3 user account?

Is there a time frame where Joget deletes free user accounts that have not been accessed?

I want to continue with my 3 user free account.  Please let me how I can do this.

Please let me know if you have any questions for me or would like further information.   Our joint goal is to accelerate the global adoption of Joget.  Joget is a wonderful technology that benefits thousands of developers and business people around the world.

Hi Anders,

I meant to have replied to your previous answer here.  Here's some more information.

As a newbie to Joget, I created 3 Trial accounts for 3 different customers of mine with different projects.

All 3 trial accounts expired and went to 3 users each.  I can get into the 2 other projects but can't get into can't get into the 3rd one because I no longer have access the the Admin account.

I just when to System Settings → General Settings for one the Free accounts.

BTW:  Joget in the Cloud should change the terminology from "expired" account to "Free" account everywhere in the system.

In the System Administration Settings I noticed that admin was setup as the Master Login Username.   Therefore, I should probably use the term Master Login rather than Admin in explaining that a Free account with 3 users should ALWAYS include the Master Login.

Giving the Account owner access to their Master Login (which is initially set to the admin user by the Cloud Trial) will then allow the account owner to select the additional 2 users that they which to continue with.

Does this seem logical to you?

Hi, the Master Login is purely for API usage, like a key. There is actually nothing special about the "admin" user. That login can be deleted, and any user can be assigned administrator privileges. The catch for the free 3 users is that you need to have an administrator in the first 3 users alphabetically. Short of paying for a subscription to enable more users, I would suggest contacting Joget directly if you have some custom request.
