thx for the suggestion. However my question is on the server side to determine what content to be sent in the email; I believe your answer was on the email client side to determine what to be shown and what in what visual format?

I would recommend to use a route to direct the process flow to either the first Email Tool (where A = 1) or the second Email Tool (otherwise), based on the form field A = 1, etc. The first Email Tool has the email content if field A =1 and the second Email Tool the content if field A = 2. Do assign the field value to a workflow variable and use this workflow variable in the route.
