External users when mapped as a participant in a approval flow are not receiving email

I have Mapped the external directory user in joget using the LDAP manager .. All the users and their details are available. But when i try to map a user as a approval partcipant it shows unavilable but the task is assigned to the user and show under the approval inbox but email is not sent to the selected participant .. Email tool plugin configuration is done and is working for the joget org users.
