Loss of information due to process update

Good afternoon, we need urgent help.  We edited the BPMN process and we had a large number of instances already on the move.  Now running, neither the monitor shows the sequence of previous tasks performed in the process instances (only shows the one currently performed and assigned) nor the form corresponding to the task shows the information recorded in te previous steps. What can we do?

Based on my experience, if your process/app is already running on production, then you want to update the process, it's better to update App Version first, it's to make the existing process running still be accessible and available in newer App version. App Versioning
