Enterprise Installation

I had installed the community version and am now trying to setup the enterprise version. I get the following error message while trying to connect to the App Center:

ERROR: Could not initialize the database, please ensure the database is running and the settings are correct.Show Details

Cannot create PoolableConnectionFactory (Communications link failure The last packet sent successfully to the server was 0 milliseconds ago. The driver has not received any packets from the server.)
I am not sure what went wrong or how to correct this.

Assuming that you are using Windows, if you have a working existing community version. When installing the enterprise, set the same installation path to overwrite your existing community installation to upgrade it to enterprise. It will re-use your existing database so that you don't need to deal with this error that you are existing. Plus, you get to preserve your existing work and data too!

Hi, if you are making a clean installation of the enterprise edition, you need to install and run the database server separately. If you prefer not to worry about installation and server issues, you can try signing up for the hosted on-demand too.
