Active Assignments in the Inbox even though all processes are completed

Why do some Assignments remain active in the Inbox. even though all processes are completed, and how do I clear them?

A screenshot of the 1) completed process activity list and 2) inbox datalist would be helpful. Remember to change the row count to maximum to list all the processes in Completed Process. Thank you.
