Timeout Notification

Confluence User - 11 Dec, 2017

My user is at a userview that he was actively using several hours ago. In the meantime their login session has timed out. The userview looks no different, but when they make a selection which would normally go to a form to start a process they get a security violation screen which does not clearly indicate that the login session has timed out. Can this be made more smooth for the user? Can any selection on the userview be made to go to the login screen if the session has expired?

Hi, you can set the Userview Permission Control for the menu element to only allow Logged In users. In that case, it should redirect to the login page should the session timeout.

Hi Anders, I have the Userview Permission Control set to Organization. On the Default view within the Userview I have a button which calls the "start process" URL for a process. When this is clicked, if there has been a timeout, the "Security Violation" page comes up.

Specifically it says "Sorry, access is forbidden for security reasons. Please refresh the previous form before submitting it."
