unable to configure database for enterprise edition

Hi,

I am not able to configure database . the details are given below.

Database Type-mysql

Database Host-local host

Database Port-3306

Database Name-jwdb

Database User-root

Database Password

Include Sample Apps- checked

Include Sample Users-checked

ERROR: Could not initialize the database, please ensure the database is running and the settings are correct.

Cannot create PoolableConnectionFactory (Communications link failure The last packet sent successfully to the server was 0 milliseconds ago. The driver has not received any packets from the server.)

Can you please help me...

Hi,

Seems like the mysql server is not running. Can you try to use MySQL client (e.g. HeidiSQL) to test the database connection and credentials first?
