Could think of 2 reasons:

1. you did not set the workflow variable value correctly in your form. You can check your process in Monitoring to see the workflow variable values are correctly set, especially if the workflow variable are used in process route conditions.
2. It could be because in the route condition, if you're using Simple Rules Decision...make sure the "Else Then" condition covers other possibilities. For example, you may have a condition to route "Approved" and "Rejected", but you may have another status called "Clarification" or something else entirely that wasn't covered in your if conditions. You use the "Else Then" to cover that those...at least the process is still flowing...else it'll get stuck and you can't unstuck unfortunately..you have to restart the process again.
