Using Google Gemini Models

Pre-requisites

Downloading and installing AI Designer

1. Navigate to the Joget Marketplace to the AI Designer page.
   

2. Click download and log in with your credentials.
   

3. In Joget DX, go to Settings > Manage Plugins > Upload Plugin.
4. Once uploaded, the plugin will be available in your Joget environment.
5. You will see a new tab added in the Settings page on the left navigation bar for AI Designer central configuration.
   

6. Open the AI Designer Central Configuration page and enter your AI Designer API key details. If you do not have it yet, you can request a key using the Joget Intelligence app.
   

Obtaining Google Gemini LLM API key

1. Open Google AI Studio in a new tab.
   

2. In the bottom right corner, click on the Get API key button.
   

3. Click on the Create API key button on the top right.
   

4. Create the API key in an existing project or choose to create an API key in a new Project.
   

5. Copy and save the generated API key for use in the next section.
   

Setting up AI Designer to use Google Gemini Key

1. Return to the AI Designer Central Configuration page.
   

2. After entering the details in the first tab, move on to the next tab for AI Services.
   

3. Click on Add AI Service and enter a name.
   

4. Move to the second tab and choose Google Gemini from the dropdown list.
   

5. Move to the third tab and choose a model name, and also paste the API key that we just generated.
   

6. Click on the Add button and choose the newly created model.  Don't forget to click Save and validate that the Gemini model is marked as active in the list below.
   

Expected Outcome

You can now create Joget apps with AI Designer using Google's Gemini AI models.
