Process Mapper UI Plugin

Introduction

The Process Mapper UI Plugin is a UI HTML Injector plugin that provides a dedicated process mapping configuration interface directly within the Joget App Composer.

This plugin injects a Configure Process Mapping button or hover-over icon link into the App Composer Builders page for each process. Clicking this button opens an isolated, full-screen modal overlay (iframe), allowing users to view and configure process flow mappings without leaving the builders page.

Purpose

Prior to Joget DX 8, process design and process flow mapping were performed in separate interfaces. This separation allowed app designers to focus on defining the overall application structure in the App Composer while opening a dedicated workspace only when configuring process flow mappings.

With the introduction of the integrated process designer in Joget DX 8, process design and process mapping became part of the same interface. While this provides a more unified editing experience, some app designers prefer the previous workflow, where process mapping can be accessed independently without entering the full process designer.
The Process Mapper UI Plugin was created to restore this familiar workflow. It provides a dedicated process mapping interface that can be launched directly from the App Composer.

Get Started

Prerequisites

• Joget DX 8 or Joget DX 9 Enterprise Edition.
• Developer or administrator access with permissions to manage plugins and applications.

Where to get the plugin

You can download the plugin JAR file from the Joget Marketplace.

How to install

1. Go to your Joget Console.
2. Navigate to Admin Bar > Systems Settings > Manage Plugins and click the Upload Plugins button.
3. Select the downloaded plugin JAR file (for example, process-mapper-ui-8.2.1.jar) and click Upload.

How to use it

1. Navigate to the App Composer of your application.
2. Locate the process you want to view and hover over it to find the hover-over icon link.
   
3. Click the hover-over icon link to launch the process mapper in a full-screen modal overlay.
4. Edit the process, and click Save to save the changes or Close to discard any changes.

Configure Mapping Properties

Once the process mapper interface is open in the full-screen modal overlay, you can modify the process flow mapping properties.

Expected Outcome

Clicking the process mapping icon opens the interactive process mapper UI in a full-screen modal overlay. You can view and edit process flow configurations seamlessly and save your changes immediately. Edits are saved directly without changing or incrementing the process package version.
