Wflow Storage Permission Check

Introduction

The Wflow Storage Permission Check plugin is a system-level governance and utility tool that performs a health check to verify the accessibility and directory permissions of critical storage locations used by the Joget platform. These check operations include scanning key subfolders under the core wflow directory as well as the web server's Tomcat logs folder.

By proactively detecting underlying file system permission or accessibility anomalies, this health check helps platform administrators identify and rectify issues that could otherwise disrupt application deployments, runtimes, or system-level performance.

Get Started

Prerequisites

• Joget DX 8 Enterprise or Community Edition.
• Administrative access with permissions to view system-level monitoring dashboards.

Where to get the plugin

You can obtain the plugin JAR file by downloading the latest release from the Joget Marketplace.

How to install

1. Download the latest release .jar file from the repository page.
2. Log in to your Joget Console.
3. Navigate to the Admin Bar and select Settings > Manage Plugins.
4. Click the Upload Plugins button, select your downloaded JAR file, and click Upload.

Once installed, you do not need to configure any forms or lists to run the check. The plugin integrates directly into your platform's monitoring console :

1. Navigate to the Monitor tab located at the bottom of the Joget Admin Console.
2. In the left-hand panel, click on Governance Health Check.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the dedicated wflow Folder Size and Permissions section.
   

Expected Outcome

When the governance check is viewed, the plugin automatically evaluates your directory access and generates a clean HTML report containing :

• The current JVM user executing the Joget process.
• The absolute file system path of your active wflow directory.
• A detailed status table evaluating critical subfolders, listing:
  • Folder name and its absolute path.
  • Total size consumed on the host disk.
  • Active Read permission status.
  • Active Write permission status.

If all critical system folders successfully pass the validation checks, the section status will display a green PASS indicator.
 
If any folder lacks read or write capabilities, a failure state will be flagged immediately to warn the administrator.
